The Island of Burano is the most picturesque island of the Venetian Lagoon and it’s only 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) away from Venice.
Though Burano is a pretty little fishing village (pop. 6,000), take a short 40 minute trip by Venetian motorboat (‘vaporetti’) to visit this beautiful and colourful island.
Burano has its own architectural style, more intimate than Venice, with tightly packed houses.
